About Orit Zilberman
Welcome! I’m Orit, a Chinese medicine therapist specializing in women’s health. Since 2004, I’ve supported women at every stage of life through acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and lifestyle guidance.
I work with a wide range of women’s health concerns, from menstrual cycle regulation and hormonal balance to fertility support and menopause related concerns, with particular focus on vulvar and vaginal pain, including painful intercourse.
What shaped my clinical focus?
In 2007, I began collaborating with Dr. Liora Abramov, a leading gynecologist and expert on vulvodynia in Israel. This experience opened my eyes to the profound impact chronic vulvar and vaginal pain can have on women’s lives and inspired me to develop supportive Chinese medicine approaches for these conditions.
Over the years, I’ve supported hundreds of women with vulvodynia, vaginismus, and related pelvic pain, guided by clinical practice, patient feedback, and ongoing research.
My treatment approach
My treatments are gentle, safe, and personalized. I use acupuncture in non-intimate areas, tailored herbal formulas, and lifestyle guidance, all designed to support the unique needs of each woman.
Training and professional background
I trained at Reidman International College in Tel Aviv, completing six months of clinical internships in hospitals in China. My acupuncture approach is influenced by Master Tung’s method, and my herbal medicine is guided by classical Chinese texts.
Since 2019, I’ve been based in Amsterdam and am a member of the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Acupunctuur (NVA). I continue to deepen my clinical skills through ongoing seminars, courses, and professional training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
Teaching and ongoing work
Alongside my clinical work, I write, lecture, and teach seminars for fellow Chinese medicine practitioners, with a special focus on vulvar and vaginal pain.
I support women in a quiet, respectful space for healing.
